Council warns town clerk
- KAMPALA
City councillors have warned the town clerk, Ruth Kijjambu, against implementing unlawful decisions. Speaking to journalists yesterday, the councillors said they would sue Kijjambu if she went ahead and implemented decisions not approved by the council. Their reaction followed media reports that the mayor, Nasser Sebaggala, recommended Kijjambu’s transfer, which made them suspect that she may make biased decisions. Recently, the Police deployed heavily at KCC headquarters following allegations of a plot to steal important documents from the town clerk’s office.
