FOUR old boys of St. Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK) have been honoured for their contribution to the country, reports Patrick Jaramogi.

They are Prof Charles Olweny, the vice-chancellor of Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi, Francis Kitaka, architect Henry Sentoogo and Prof. Paul D’Arbela.

Buganda Kingdom prime mmnister (Katikkiro) John Baptist Walusimbi, who is also an old boy of the Catholic-founded school, handed over the awards.

This was during the SMACK Re-union Day held at the school campus on Entebbe Road on Sunday.

The president of the old boys association, Henry Kibirige, hailed Kitaka for his role in setting up the first anti-retroviral drugs factory in Uganda.

Sentoogo was credited for designing the Workers House, Entebbe State House and the Centenary Bank headquarters, which is under construction.

Olweny is the first Ugandan vice-chancellor of Nkozi and D’Arbela, is a cardiologist and director of the Heart Centre Limited.
