Three people, including a businessman from Bushenyi, have been charged with cattle theft. David Bihebwamukama, Paul Mugizi and Yusuf Sebowa, were on Monday remanded to Nyamushekyera Prison until March 30. They were arrested by the Police after Frigesio Rwashema, a resident of Ntungamo village in Kyeizoba had complained of the theft of cows from his farm. They were picked from Nyakabirizi as they loaded cows for export to Burundi. Rwashema identified some of the cows as his. The acting district Police commander, Bashir Siriba, said the accused failed to provide any document supporting their ownership of the cattle. Over 50 cows had already been marked with Rwandan tags.
