  • URA impounds sh10m goods
    BUSIA - Authorities at the Busia border have impounded Supermatch cigarettes and polythene bags which were being smuggled into Uganda. The items were valued at over sh10m. The Kenyan-made goods were impounded on Sunday night in a joint operation conducted by the Uganda Revenue Authority enforcement team and the border intelligence squad.

    Bishop asks for integrity

    MBALE - The Anglican bishop of Mbale diocese, the Rt. Rev. Patrick Gidudu, has called for integrity among leaders and organisations that are distributing relief items to the landslide survivors in Bududa district. He made the remarks recently while receiving items for the victims from Christians of Namirembe diocese.
