100 elderly persons have received shoes from the US army. The donation was made during a military campaign held in the sub-region. The campaign aims at bridging the gap created by the UPDF during the 10-year disarmament exercise in the sub-region.

The resident district commissioner, Nahaman Ojwee, who presided over the two functions in Nakapelimen and Katamukono villages on Saturday, advised the residents to work closely with the army. He added that the UPDF was a people’s army that aims at protecting their lives and property.
