THE executive secretary of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Joseph Twesige, has called upon graduates to avoid corrupt tendencies in whatever jobs they engage in.

He urged them to be exemplary and follow church norms for national development.

Twesige was speaking at the 4th graduation ceremony of Fairland University in Jinja on Friday.

“There is so much corruption and embezzlement of funds in employment institutions which must be fought for the good of all Ugandans,” he said.

Twesige told the graduates that once they are employed, they should always pray and put God first if they want to be successful at their work.

He further cautioned them against despising jobs, arguing that university graduates can dig in shambas, cook and clean compounds.

The university vice-chancellor, Solomon Wakabi, urged the graduates to behave well and be developmental in society.

Wakabi also requested the Government to support Fairland University as it strives to give quality education for sustainable development.
