OBIGA Kania’s wining of the NRM primary elections for the Terego MP race means he will have to battle it out again with FDC’s Kassiano Wadri to join the House.

Kania garnered 21,455 votes, which was 76.2% of what was arguably the most peaceful of the primary elections.

His two challengers Francis Fogo and Onesmas Tipa got 5,409 and 1,284 votes respectively. “Where I get one thousand, they get one. Where I get two thousand, they get two!” a jolly Kania told New Vision after his victory.

Kania has been twice beaten by Wadri, in the 2001 and 2006 parliamentary elections.

He said Terego had been separated from the rest of the country and lacked promotion of development programmes, adding that public funds were being embezzlement.

The former Uganda National Rescue Front (UNRF) fighter, who is keen on recapturing the seat he lost 10 years ago, urged Tipa and Fogo to join hands with him to oust Wadri if they were genuine NRM members.

Recently, Wadri said he was ready to face anyone the NRM dared to lineup against him. He assured FDC president Kizza Besigye that his influence had steadily grown since 2001.
