OVER 23 million people in Uganda will have access to safe water by 2015, according to the commissioner for water production. Richard Cong said the water ministry’s drive to avert water-borne diseases would cost over sh2.6 trillion.
“Our vision is to make sure 77% of the rural people have safe water by 2015 and 100% in urban centres. This was on Friday at the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Standard Chartered Bank and the Water and Sanitation NGO Network.
