Fete in offing

The campaign team for First Lady Janet Museveni is organising a party in Ruhaama county in Ntungamo to celebrate her victory in the parliamentary elections. president Museveni is expected to be the chief guest.
Janet’s chief campaign manager George Bakunda yesterday said the celebrations would be soon after the LC3 elections.
Janet defeated FDC strongman and incumbent Augustine Ruzindana in hotly contested elections.

Apology
The New Vision wishes to apologise for the remarks attributed to Naomi Acheng, wife of Gulu LC5 candidate Norbert Mao, where she was quoted saying that she “will abandon her job in State House in Kampala and move to Gulu if her husband is elected the LC5 chairman.”

The remarks published in yesterday’s issue were a wrong attribution since Acheng does not work at State House.
