INDEPENDENT presidential candidate Dr. Abedi Bwanika (left) yesterday met church leaders to ask them to support him in the 2006 polls.
“I have met you to ask for your support towards the 2006 polls and to inform you that I am taking another route into politics,” Bwanika said.
Addressing the leaders at the Tourist Hotel in Kampala yesterday, Bwanika said it was time to support him in politics because he had got the vision from God.
“I know the church does not have a unified move in politics, but I appeal to it to support me,” Bwanika appealed.
He said he could not refuse to serve God’s people who are suffering with the current government, adding that God’s power would help him win.
