100 ministers arrive

AT least 100 African ministers of finance and central bank governors are expected in Uganda today to discuss the obstacles to the continent’s participation in global trade.

The conference was organised by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa Established in 1958, the body is one of five regional commissions under the administrative direction of the United Nations headquarters.

President Yoweri Museveni is today scheduled to open the conference at Speke Resort Munyonyo under the theme “Mainstreaming trade policy in national development strategies.”

Other speakers are the African Union Commission chairperson, Alpha Oumar Konare and the ECA chief K.Y. Amoako.
