SOUTHERN Sudanese President Salva Kiir was yesterday involved in a plane mishap as he was due to leave Uganda at Gulu Airport, to return to his country.

The Antonov AZ-47 flown by Capt. Ibrahim Bushara, burst one of its tyre as it taxied off about 9:00am, but the pilot carefully brought it to a halt and the visiting President and other crew were evacuated.
