NAADS DONE WELL SAYS DR.KYOBUGUZI MUK authored by richard gudoi on 16. November 2009 at 08:19
YES TO DR KYOBUGUZI,NAADS has done well why not best?
When we talk of NAADS failure to help famrers toachieve their national goals, we mean that even fraud and graft, corruption and best corporate governance aught to be practiced.
It is not a matter of counting numbers as to how many frmers have benefited from the NAADS program. Would you mind to educate us of the NAADS funds exposed as misappropriated? or fraudulently and greeedly choked.
Oh my! Dr a professor at MUKS understand why the citizens and the government is concerned about the way NAADS operates in districts.
Time is gone now to confuse Ugandans about numbers. The President is in the forefront to fighting fraud and corruption. Police has been empwored to fight graft and corruption in public sector.
We are aslo around to give hints on how fraud is committed and how it can be faught in public sector. We are professionals in investigating frauds.
NAADS could have done well had it not appoint people who are ignorant of the national issues like how to plan for and fight femine, how to use service delivery to help implement government programs.Sincerely best Agricultural practices died long time 50 years ago . Agricultural extesnion workers are no more, tell me if you know of any on government payrol! These could have been used to help implement government programs for NAADS. Unless NAADS wakes up and pulls up its socks , we shall always cry to government or relevant authorities that the program is being misused by the CEOs.
All I know is that CEOs in NAADS are ignorant of what NRM national policies want. They want to frustrate government efforts to fight poverty.am I not right? What percentage has NAADS effectively performed to implementing its programs and benefiting the country?
NAADS should evaluate its impact to the farmers or they should use Uganda Farmers' Association which has the best approach to NAADS programs. I feel there is duplication of efforts here. Agricutlural authorities anf farmers should discuss this issue at length since they now what it takes to be a farmer of whatever magnitude!
Thank you for understanding me.

Pregnant students policy to be reviewed authored by mugisha paul on 10. November 2008 at 02:23
Sometimes, I do not understand how our leaders think. If the minister for education made these statements, then, I am sorry to say, she must have outlived her usefulness to the education sector. Stopping pregnant women and mothers from sitting UCE/UACE exams does not stop girls from getting pregant. She should understand, in the first instance, why these girls get pregant before implementing a stupid law that will deprive some poor souls of their right to furher education. I do not encourage teenage pregnancies but we should address the issue with calmness and from an informed position. Two wrongs do not make a right
