THE ICC SHOULD STICK TO ITS RESOLUTION. authored by OTIM GEOFFREY on 14. July 2008 at 14:22
Since the LRAs started their war there have always been the ups and downs of peace deals .Kony is a con man who feels that he can confuse both the Internatioal community and the locals at large.
I am always puplexed when I here my fellow Acholis talking of mato oput trying to involve the holy group of people;the Bishops and others, the Chiefs to artificially protect Kony. Why should he be protected ?;when Kony himself can not protect his fellow Acholis.Time has come that the World has seen that the Acholis have really suffered so let Kony meet the charges for he deserves. The Acholis and others claiming that Kony should not be prosecuted by the ICC if possible should also be prosecuted for they should be knowing what is with Kony but they can not tell the government.I suggest if they insist Kony should not be prosecuted by the ICC, then they should not complain of anything relating to Kony's masacre [ bad deeds ] in the Land thus; inotherwords they should be enjoying instead of crying.

Tanks Admin.
I don't see the reason why carges should not be dropt against Kony by so (ICC),
The Uganda Goverment should think of peace in Northern Uganda, because I think Kony can not feel free to come out if charges are awaiting and announced on News Papers etc.
Dear Ugandans let's think twise, even Museveni started in the bush and a lot of people died too not only in Luwero.
Does it makes sense to mention Kony when Museveni has done the same thing in Luwero. |
Yes, real madness authored by bernard on 14. May 2007 at 15:25
Yes, so that we are free to continue fighting and killing ourselves because we have been sidelined by m7. What other reasons can we fight for? This is real madness if there is no any other better reason we can fight for. I won't be part of that stupidity...
personally am not happy about this icc authored by bernard on 12. May 2007 at 18:13
I think icc is failing to approach this crucial issue. ICC lacks tecniques to CONNECT with the whole dynamics of this crucial issue. If the issue is to be resolved, i think the first step is to personally CONNECT with the problem at stake. Let me offer this example...If i have committed a crime and you tell me from time to time that what awaits you is arrest. What would be my immediate reaction or response? It is just CONNECTION problem that icc lacks in the first place. If you know how to connect well, they will certainly listen to you. if not, forget please.
Thus icc, be handy, show that you are really part of the problem instaed of just barking like a cruel dog who cannot even bite.....Otherwise, it sounds like you are only extending/prolonging this problem of this poor people and know that God will judge you forth-right....

if you had used all your 'intellegentia', wisdom, skills. and common sense, this problem would have been resolved a long time ago.
Ask the Acholi authored by Richard Ruth on 4. April 2007 at 07:24
I think it would be best that the Acholi have the say in what happens to Kony. Personally I would like to see him suffer a thousand deaths. I have heard that some Acholi's feel Mato Oput is the way to go. I don't know much about this traditional form of reconciliation but it appears that Kony could then live alongside those he disfigured. That would be the most remarkable act of forgiveness I've ever heard of ... if it could come about. It is beyond my abilities to imagine such an transformation taking place.
The ICC should not remove the warrant for the LRA thugs. This would send the wrong message and would cheapen the abillity to persuade which the Hague has, somewhat, now. Should the Acholi's themselves equest that the warrants be removed then the ICC should, if possible, honor that request.
I hope and pray for a speedy resolution to this too long sadness.
